FOOD

big meal Pictures, Images and Photos

This week we didn't get to go anywhere but still continue with our morning walk.

Yesterday I went for a haircut. Initially I was thinking of going to a famous hairstylist to have a completely new and up-to-date style but later still went back to QB for a $10 cut. The balance i used it to buy food for the family.

Nowadays my family is into Japanese crusine. It all started because my boy was so crazy over the late night sushi sale at Giant. Also happened that my cousin and my brother each gave us a treat on Japanese food.

My cousin brought us to one buffet and it was really good. They have a wide spread of all the different types of Japanese crusine and after this buffet I have more confident in ordering the various types of Japanese food in future when I dine at a Japanese restaurant. Also I learnt to use ginseng for porriage. I use fish maw, mushroom, chicken meat and a few slices of ginseng to cook a very delicious porriage.

Another Japanese food I am crazy about is the pork rolled with asparagus stick sold at Tori-Q. I think just 1 stick of 3 I can go with a whole bowl of rice.

When my brother gave me a treat at Ajisen, now with the new Ajitei, I also introduced the pork roll to him. But it tastes different without the unique 'herbal' taste. At Ajitei, I get to try the macha desert. At first I had doubt ordering that because at that price and for such common combination? But after I tried it, its worth the price because it is very different from the usual desert.

Well, its time i go make some sushi etc to eat !!!!

We are back !!!!

refreshing! Pictures, Images and Photos

We these two "HDB Tai Tai" are back into action again !!!!

First of course its our morning walk because our sons are back to school again.
Talking about them they are already into Secondary.
Timing is still the same i.e. after we sent off our sons, we will walk 2 to 3 rounds around the park.

If my son starts off 5 mins earlier, i get to meet this lady. She will go to the multi carpark to bring the car down for her daughter. We chit chat a bit. Remember i first met her when my son was very young and i was thinking of doing some part time job at home. I saw her taking some clothes home to sew and asked whether she has any lobang. eg. 'cut thread' etc. As i cant sew there's nothing for me :( but i make an acquaintance. Besides her i also get to see some of the children around my son's age. Some has grown up so much .......... just like my son la getting very fat but lu's still in good shape.

Now Tuesday is our outing day.

Last week, our lst explore after such long break, is to Bukit Timah shopping centre. We took a bus there. Just stepped inside the shopping centre, I can smell the 'familar old air-con smell' which cant in those new shopping mall. We headed straight to the market-style 'food centre' not 'food court'. But the food and the prices is fantastic - no shortchange.

Next is the fashion shop. There finally i got my swim wear and the shopping experience is good. In fact so far that is the only shop i feel so at ease choosing my swim wear and the shopkeeper is really nice. She is one aunty-killer. Later we proceed to get some towels, computer assessories etc. Another nice shop is the Oishii Bread Shop highly recommended by Lu. I bought some cookies to go with my morning coffee and two breads for the next day breakfast.

Leaving the shopping centre, we headed for the bus stop a distance away. Midway we stopped by at the 'posh/vintage' Macdonald to have a drink and it was very 'refreshing' .

Looking forward for next outing .......
